THE BIG PITCH 2014

IN REVIEW

They came. They saw.
They pitched BIG.

"Larry Kestelman praised all five finalists for the standard of their pitches and didn't rule out investing in all of them."

In 2014 the competition was fierce and the event saw a BIG crowd, full of BIG thinkers, who delivered BIG pitches. So much so, the inaugural Big Pitch saw not one, but two standout winners selected from more than 350 impressive entries submitted.

With just five minutes to pitch to an audience of 400, coupled with a grilling by an eight-person judging panel of industry experts, the expectations were high! Melbourne-based ECAL, an events calendar marketing platform, and WeTeachMe, an online platform that helps businesses run bookings for courses and events, came out on top.

THE 2014 FINALISTS

WHERE THEY ARE NOW

Choosing five finalists from more than 350 entries was no easy task, especially when the quality of finalists was so exceptional. With each finalist making an impact on the night, we decided to follow their journey and a year on asked them to give us a run-down of what's been happening since and where to from here.
